ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles are signing former Saints S Malcom Jenkins to a three-year contract.
- Jenkins will reportedly make $16.25 million deal.
Jenkins, 26, is a converted cornerback who could benefit from a change of scenery and a new defensive scheme.
He’s spent each of his first five years in the NFL with the Saints. In 2013, he totaled 68 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 65 safety in the league and below-average in coverage.
