Aaron Wilson reports that the New York Jets have claimed TE Zach Sudfeld off of waivers from the New England Patriots.
Sudfeld, 24, signed on with New England as a rookie free agent out of Nevada. There was quite a bit of buzz surrounding him during training camp, but he was largely disappointing in regular season action.
The Jets currently have Kellen Winslow, Jeff Cumberland and Konrad Reuland on their roster at tight end, so Sudfeld could actually secure a roster spot depending on how things go in the coming days.
