Cardinals Sign G Mike Iupati To A Five-Year, $40M Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports 49ers free agent G Mike Iupati has told people he plans to sign with the Arizona Cardinals.

Iupati, 27, finished out his five-year, $15,110,625 rookie contract that included $2,074,000 guaranteed and will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming weeks.

Last year, Iupati appeared in 15 games for the 49ers and was rated as the No. 15 guard in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. It’s worth mentioning that he was PFF’s second highest graded guard in terms of run blocking.
