Report: Norv Turner Concedes His Time As Chargers HC Coming To An End

Last week reports surfaced that Chargers Dean Spanos was prepared to fire both GM A.J. Smith and head coach Norv Turner following another disappointing season.

“We all know in the end what the final outcome will be,” Turner reportedly told CBS broadcaster Jim Nantz, via the North County Times.

Spanos has since refuted the report that he’s already made up his mind regarding the two men currently running the show in San Diego. Norv will probably be a sought-after offensive coordinator during the offseason, as he’s widely regarded as one of the best play-callers in the league.

Should the Chargers job become available, you would have to think that they would be able to lure a solid head coach to takeover a team that has talent to work with on both sides of the ball. Clearly, there are areas where the Chargers need to improve, but at least they offer some decent players that you can build around.
