Report: Free Agent G Uche Nwaneri Visiting Titans Wednesday

Update:

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com reports that the Titans will host free agent G Uche Nwaneri on Wednesday.

  • Jim Wyatt reports that the Titans will also host OL Eric Olsen for a visit on Wednesday.
  • Wyatt adds that the decision to bring in offensive linemen for visits stems from the loss of Mike McGlynn last week.

Nwaneri has already visited with the Bengals since the Jaguars elected to cut him loose a few days before free agency got underway.

Nwaneri, 29, was rated as the No. 34 guard in the league this past season and a decent pass-protector, according to Pro Football Focus.

As for Olsen, he was sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010. He lasted a little over a year with Denver before he was waived in September of 2011.

Olsen later caught on with the Saints, but was placed on season-ending injured reserve in September of last year.

We have Nwaneri listed as the No. 21 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.

Tania Ganguli reports that former Jaguars G Uche Nwaneri will visit with the Bengals on Thursday.

Jacksonville released Nwaneri on Tuesday, so it’s pretty impressive to see a decent market forming just a matter of hours.

It’s hard to speculate as to who could be interested in him at this point, but I’m sure we’ll hear something regarding prospective teams soon enough.
