The New Orleans Saints officially placed LB Travis Feeney on waivers Tuesday with an injury waiver.
Feeney, 24, was taken in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL draft by the Steelers. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad at the start of the season.
The Saints signed Feeney off of the Steelers practice squad last December.
During his college career at Washington, Freeney recorded 248 tackles, 15.5 sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles, two recoveries and 11 pass defenses over the course of four seasons.
