Saints Designate WR Keith Kirkwood To Return From Injured Reserve

The New Orleans Saints officially designated WR Keith Kirkwood to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for Kirkwood to practice with the team before New Orleans will need to add him to their active roster.

Kirkwood, 24, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2018 but was released after a few days and was added by the Saints. He was among New Orleans’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason before re-signing to their practice squad.

New Orleans promoted Kirkwood to their active roster last November. Unfortunately, he was placed on injured reserve in early September with a hamstring injury.

In 2018, Kirkwood appeared in eight games for the Saints and caught 13 passes for 209 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

During his five-year college career, Kirkwood recorded 103 receptions for 1,638 yards receiving (15.9 YPC) and 16 touchdowns.
