Josh Katzenstein reports that the Saints are in negotiations to re-sign LB Michael Mauti along with FB Zach Line, which has been previously reported.
Mauti, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Vikings back in 2013. He lasted just over two years in Minnesota before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later claimed by the Saints.
Mauti played out the final year of his four-year, $2.22 million contract before New Orleans re-signed him this last summer. The Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason but later re-signed him in October.
In 2017, Mauti appeared in 11 games for the Saints and recorded 11 tackles and a forced fumble.
