Saints Place FB John Kuhn On Injured Reserve With Biceps Injury

The New Orleans Saints have officially placed FB John Kuhn on injured reserve Thursday.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Kuhn tore his biceps and will need season-ending surgery.

This moves creates a roster spot for WR Willie Snead, who has been reinstated from suspension.

Kuhn, 34, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Shippensburg back in 2005. He’s spent nine of his 10 years in the NFL with the Packers before he signed a one-year, $985,000 contract with the Saints back in August of last year.

New Orleans brought him back on another one-year contract this offseason before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason only to bring him back a few days later. He had been on and off of the Saints’ roster this season.

In 2017, Kuhn has appeared in two games and rushed for two yards on one carry.
