According to Herbie Teope, the Saints have placed OT Chris Clark on injured reserve.
Clark was carted off of Sunday’s preseason game against the Chargers with his right leg in an air cast after being rolled up on while blocking.
New Orleans had just signed Clark to a contract last week.
Clark, 33, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent back in 2008. He spent time with the Vikings and Broncos before Denver traded him to the Texans in 2015 for a seventh-round pick.
Clark played out his two-year, $6 million contract and made a base salary of $2.75 million for the 2017 season with the Texans.
Clark signed with the Panthers last year and started most of the year at offensive tackle. He joined the Saints last week.
In 2018, Clark appeared in 15 games for the Panthers, starting 13. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 64 offensive tackle out of 85 qualifying players.
