The New Orleans Saints promoted WR Seantavius Jones to their active roster on Thursday, according to Field Yates (per Mike Triplett).
- Saints waived FB Toben Opurum to make room for Jones.
Jones, 23, signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State back in May of last year. He was ultimately unable to make the team’s final roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.
The Saints once again cut him loose at the start of the 2015 regular season and later signed him to their practice squad.
This season, Jones has appeared in one game, but has yet to record a single statistic.
