Saints Re-Sign LS Justin Drescher, Cut Long-Snappers Thomas Gafford & Chase Domingue

Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports that the Saints are signing LS Justin Drescher to a contract on Sunday and are releasing their other two long snappers Thomas Gafford and Chase Dominguez.

Both Gafford and Dominguez struggled last week and it appears as though their disappointing performance was enough for them to get axed.

Drescher, 29, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in 2010. he lasted just a few months in Atlanta before he was waived and later signed by the Saints. Drescher played seven years for the Saints and had been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Drescher appeared in all 16 games for the Saints.
