Saints Re-Sign OT Bryce Harris, Waive LB Adam Bighill

The New Orleans Saints officially re-signed OT Bryce Harris on Tuesday and waived LB Adam Bighill.

  • The Saints also signed RB Daniel Lasco to practice squad.

Bighill, 28, wound up going undrafted out of Central Washington back in 2011 and eventually agreed to a deal with the BC Lions. He was a four-time All Star during his CFL career.

The Saints brought Bighill in a for a workout following last season and wound up signing future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, the Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad a few days later.

New Orleans called Bighill up for Monday’s game against the Vikings.

During his CFL career, Bighill recorded 489 tackles, 33 sacks, eight interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and eight forced fumbles over the course of 99 games and six seasons.

Harris, 28, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State back in 2012. He later joined the Saints before the start of the 2012 season and spent three years in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season.

The Falcons later signed Harris to a contract, but he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason last year.

Harris had brief stints with the Jaguars and Dolphins before he signed on with the Saints. New Orleans cut him loose only to bring him back a few days later, but decided to waive him once again.

This makes the fourth time that the Saints have signed Harris to a contract this offseason.

In 2016, Harris was active for just one game for the Falcons.
