The New Orleans Saints officially released OT Chris Clark from injured reserve with a settlement on Monday and placed TE Garrett Griffin on injured reserve.
Clark suffered a serious leg injury that led to him being placed on injured reserve.
Clark, 33, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent back in 2008. He spent time with the Vikings and Broncos before Denver traded him to the Texans in 2015 for a seventh-round pick.
Clark played out his two-year, $6 million contract and made a base salary of $2.75 million for the 2017 season with the Texans. The Panthers signed him to a contract for the 2018 season and he joined the Saints a few weeks ago.
In 2018, Clark appeared in 15 games for the Panthers, starting 13. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 64 offensive tackle out of 85 qualifying players.
