Saints Release WR Brandon Coleman

Field Yates reports that theย Saints have released veteran WR Brandon Coleman with a failed physical designation on Sunday.

New Orleans placed Coleman on the active/PUP list in recent weeks.

Coleman, 25, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in 2014. He was on and off of the Saints’ practice squad during his rookie season, but managed to make the 53-man roster each of the past two years.

The Saints brought him back on a one-year contract last year, but declined to tender him a restricted offer. New Orleans did, however, re-sign Coleman to a contract this past March.

In 2017, Coleman appeared in all 16 games and caught 23 passes for 364 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
