Saints Releasing DT Jay Bromley

Josh Katzenstein reports that the Saints have released DT Jay Bromley on Thursday.

This will make room for CB Josh Robinson (NFLTR), who has signed a contract with the Saints.

Bromley, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3,003,876 rookie contract and was not testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career before agreeing to a contract with the Saints back in May.

The Saints elected to release Bromley coming out of the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players. However, New Orleans brought him back a few weeks later.

In 2018, Bromley has appeared in one game for the Saints and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
