The New Orleans Saints announced Thursday that they’ve signed first-round OT Ryan Ramczyk to a four-year rookie contract.
According to OverTheCap.com, Ramczyk will receiveย a four-year contract worth $8,891,810, which includes a signing bonus of $4,606,772. The contract also has a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2020.
Ramczyk was selected with the No. 32 overall pick by the Saints after they elected to trade back into the first round with the Patriots. In total, New Orleans gave up WR Brandin Cooks and aย fourth-round pick in this year’s draft for the right to select Ramczyk and also acquired a 2017 third-round pick.
He transferred to Wisconsin in 2015 but did not appear on their active roster until the 2016 season.
During his two-year college career at Wisconsin, Ramczyk appeared in 12 games for the Badgers and received first-team All-Big 10 and first-team All-American honors last season.
