Saints Sign LB Lamar Louis To Practice Squad

Josh Katzenstein reports that the Saints have signed LB Lamar Louis to their practice squad on Tuesday.

The Saints will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:

  1. G John Fullington
  2. TE Garrett Griffin
  3. C Jack Allen
  4. WR Jordan Williams
  5. DT Ashaad Mabry
  6. QB Garrett Grayson
  7. DB Taveze Calhoun
  8. TE Jake Stoneburner
  9. DE Royce LaFrance
  10. LB Chris McCain

Louis, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation on Wednesday.

Louis was active for the team’s season-opener on Sunday but did not record a single statistic. The Cardinals waived him with an injury designation a few weeks into the regular season and later cut him from injured reserve with a settlement.

During his college career, Louis recorded 96 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, no sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
