Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Saints signed LB Mike Mohamed to a contract after he worked out for the team on Wednesday.
Mohamed, 23, signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida a few days after this year’s NFL draft. However, he was later waived with the injury designation a few weeks into the preseason.
After he cleared waivers, the Texans placed him on season-ending injured reserve with a calf injury before cutting him with a settlement a week ago.
During his four years at South Florida, McFarland caught 55 passes for 643 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
