The New Orleans Saints have officially signed LB Stephone Anthony and CB Johnson Bademosi to their active roster on Wednesday and added TE Jason Vander Laan and S Trae Elston to their practice squad.
Hereโs the Saints updated practice squad:
- WR Taquan Mizzell
- OL John Leglue
- WR Emmanuel Butler
- OL Derrick Kelly II
- S T.J. Green
- DE Mitchell Loewen
- WR Krishawn Hogan
- DT Taylor Stallworth
- TE Jason Vander Laan
- S Trae Elston
Anthony, 27, is a former first-round pick out of Clemson by the Saints in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Dolphins acquired him from the Saints in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2017.
The Dolphins declined to pick up Anthony’s fifth-year option last year and he played out the final year of his four-year, $7.731 million rookie contract. He recently had brief stints with the Falcons and Jets before re-signing with the Saints last month.
New Orleans released Anthony a few weeks ago.
In 2018, Anthony appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded four tackles.
