Saints Sign Veteran OL Don Barclay

Nick Underhill reports that the Saints have signed veteran OL Don Barclay to a contract on Tuesday.

Barcley marks the third veteran New Orleans has signed to their training camp roster today after adding WRs Michael Floyd and Brandon Tate as well. (NFLTR)

Barclay, 29, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in 2012. He managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first five years in the NFL and returned to the Packers on a one-year, $1.025 million contract.

The Packers placed Barclay on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and was released. The Lions then signed him to a one-year deal in October of last year and he finished out the season on the injured reserve.

In 2017, Barclay was active in just three games before sustaining a season-ending concussion.
