Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Saints brought in veteran LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar for a tryout on Thursday.

  • Pro Football Talk confirms the news and adds that the Saints also worked out DB Brandon Dixon.

Dunbar, 30, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in 2008. He spent over four years in New Orleans before joining the Rams as an unrestricted free agent back in 2012.

Unfortunately, Dunbar was released by the Rams a month ago, as St. Louis trimmed their roster down to 53 players. The Rams did, however, elected to bring him back close to a month before releasing him on Wednesday.

Dunbar hasn’t appeared in a single game this season.

In 2014, Dunbar appeared in 15 games for the Rams and recorded 36 tackles.
