Saints Waive Former Third-Round Pick QB Garrett Grayson

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Saints have waived former third-round QB Garrett Grayson on Wednesday.

New Orleans now has Luke McCown as the only other quarterback on their roster besides starter Drew Brees.

Should Grayson pass through waivers unclaimed, it’s possible the Saints could sign him to their practice squad.

Grayson, 25, was taken with the No. 75 overall pick in the third round of last year’s draft. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3,400,606 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $589,573 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Grayson was active for one game for the Saints.
