Saints Waive TE Jack Tabb

The New Orleans Saints officially placed TE Jack Tabb on waivers Friday to make room for DE Darryl Tapp, who was signed to a contract.

The Saints were actually prepared to waive Tabb last week had they claimed QB Connor Shaw off of waivers from the Browns. However, the Bears beat them out for Shaw.

Tabb, 23, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina back in May of last year. He was unfortunatley waived with the injured designation during the preseason and spent his entire rookie season on the team’s injured reserve list.

During his four-year college career, Tabb recorded 47 receptions for 534 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 42 games.
