Evan Woodbery of the Times Picayune reports that the Saints have reached an injury settlement with WR Nick Toon, who will be waived off their injured reserve list on Tuesday.
- According to Woodbery, Toon hopes to be ready to play in couple weeks and expects to tryout for new teams.
New Orleans wound up waiving Toon with the injury designation last week, but wound up reverting to their injured reserve list after he cleared waivers.
Toon, 26, was entering the final year of his four-year, $2.51 million rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.
In 2014, Toon appeared in seven games and caught 17 passes for 215 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Saints.
We’ll have to see if anyone is willing to give him a shot before the start of the season.
