Seahawks Waive RB DuJuan Harris & WR B.J. Daniels

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Seahawks have waived RB DuJuan Harris on Tuesday.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Seahawks also cut WR B.J. Daniels.

This comes as a bit of surprise, as the Seahawks just lost RB Thomas Rawls for the season, so it appeared as though Harris could see more action moving forward. However, it looks like they’ll go with Bryce Brown.

Harris, 27, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an signed undrafted free agent free agent out of Troy back in 2011. He was later claimed off of waivers by the Steelers before catching  on with the Packers in October of 2012.

After a few years in Green Bay, Harris has had brief stints with the Vikings and Saints before joining the Seahawks’ practice squad and being promoted a few weeks ago.

This season, Harris has appeared in two games and ran for 49 yards on 21 carries (2.3 YPC) and lost a fumble.
