Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was held out of practice Thursday, but fully expects to play this Sunday against the Cardinals, per Tom Pelissro.
Adrian Peterson says ankle is more sore than last week, won’t practice today but expects to play Sunday. More rest with short wk ahead.

The Vikings will play two games in five days as they take on the Buccaneers next Thursday night. Extra rest should help reduce the soreness in Peterson ankle. Since he came back from an ACL tear in nine months, Peterson’s sore ankle shouldn’t be a concern. Expect to see a little more Toby Gerhart Sunday to insure Peterson’s ankle will feel well enough to go next Thursday night.
