Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the Steelers are among “several” teams who have called about free agent RB Alfred Blue.
However, Fowler says that the Steelers do not appear to be players for his services at this point in time.
This is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.
Blue, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,337,932 contract with the Texans and is currently testing the free agent market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Blue appeared in 11 games for the Texans and rushed for 262 yards on 71 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 54 yards receiving and one touchdown.
