Steelers Sign Draft Picks DL Daniel McCullers & TE Rob Blanchflower

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signings of sixth-round pick DL Daniel McCullers and seventh-round selection TE Rob Blanchflower on Monday.

The Steelers were one of the only teams who had yet to sign a single a draft, but now they have at least of their nine selections under contract.

McCullers offers plenty of size at 6-foot-6 7/8 and 352 lbs. He was a JUCO transfer who spent two years at Tennessee playing nose tackle in the middle of their defense.

During this time, he totaled 72 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

Blanchflower seems to fight the tight end mold the Steelers are looking for in that he is capable of being an effective blocker and receiver in their offense. Over the course of his time at UMass, Blanchflower caught 70 passes for 777 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
