Steelers Sign OT Matt Feiler To Practice Squad, Cut OT Austin Shepherd

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially signed OT Matt Feiler to their practice squad and placed OT Austin Shepherd on waivers.

The Steelers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DL Johnny Maxey Jr
  2. WR Demarcus Ayers
  3. TE Rashaun Allen
  4. DE Caushaud Lyons
  5. LB Travis Feeney
  6. RB Daryl Richardson
  7. DB Jacob Hagen
  8. OT Matt Feiler
  9. RB Karlos Williams
  10. DB Al-Hajj Shabazz

Feiler, 24, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Bloomsburg back in May of 2014. He lasted just over a year in Houston before signing on to the Steelers’ practice squad at the start of last season.

The Steelers elected to bring Feiler back on a future/reserve contract this past January but he was cut loose coming out of the preseason. Pittsburgh added him to their practice squad before calling him up a few weeks ago.

Feiler was placed on waivers earlier in the week.

In 2016, Feiler has been active for one game.
