Steelers Waive TE Michael Egnew

Aaron Wilson reports that the Steelers have waived TE Michael Egnew.

The move coincides with the addition CB Brandon Boykin, who was acquired yesterday from the Eagles for a 2016 fifth round pick.

Egnew, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins who has yet to live up to his draft status. Prior to his arrival in Pittsburgh, Egnew spent two years in Miami, was claimed by the Lions in 2014 and cut a week after, to later land on the Jaguars practice squad.

In his last season of activity on 2013, Egnew appeared in 15 games for Miami and caught seven passes for 69 yards and no touchdowns.
