Texans Re-Sign RFA NT Brandon Dunn, K Ka’imi Fairburn & LB Brennan Scarlett

The Houston Texans officially re-signed NT Brandon Dunn, K Ka’imi Fairburn, and LB Brennan Scarlett to one-year restricted contracts for the 2019 season on Monday.

Dunn, 26, signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2014. He spent most of his time with the Bears on and off of their practice squad before the Texans signed him to their active roster in 2015.

Since then, Dunn has been on and off of the Texans’ active roster.

In 2018, Dunn appeared in 14 games for the Texans and recorded 24 tackles, no sacks and a forced fumble.

Fairbairn, 25, signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2016. He played out the final year of his three-year rookie contract with the Texans.

Fairburn will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

In 2018, Fairbairn made 37 out of 42 field goal attempts and was 39 for 41 on extra points.
