Aaron Wilson reports the Houston Texans have cut G David Quessenberry as they trim their roster down to the 53-man limit.
Quessenberry, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2013. He was entering the final year a four-year, $2.273 million rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $645,000 in 2017.
He was battling back from cancer and was able to practice this offseason, making this a very unfortunate turn of events for him.
Quessenberry has never appeared in an NFL game, due to the battle he’s been up against.
