John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Houston Texans are signing former Cowboys ILB Bradie James. The terms of this deal have not been disclosed.
Dallas chose to sign LB Dan Conner during free agency which left James expendable. The Texans sent DeMeco Ryans to the Eagles in return for a 4th round draft pick so finding some additional talent at the position makes sense, especially when you consider that he’ll now be reunited with former Cowboys Head Coach Wade Phillips.
James wasn’t exactly as effective player for the Cowboys following the departure of Phillips so this could end up being a good opportunity for him. We had him listed as the #31 best available player in our final Top 50 Free Agents list.
