Texans Sign Nine Undrafted Free Agents

The Houston Texans announced Monday that they’ve officially signed nine undrafted free agents to contracts.

 

The full list includes:

1. Cordell Iwuagwu/G/TCU 
2. Auzoyah Alufohai/DT/West Georgia
3. Jamir Jones/LB/Notre Dame 
4. Dylan Stapleton/TE/James Madison
5. Scott Phillips/RB/Ole Miss
6. Tyler Simmons/WR/Georgia
7. Elex Woodworth/OL/North Texas
8. Jan Johnson/LB/Penn State
9. Nick Tiano/QB/UT-Chattanooga

Johnson, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Penn State. He started 26 games and was an honorable All-Big-Ten mention.

For his career, Johnson recorded 150 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two interceptions and five passes defended over the course of four seasons and 33 games.
