According to John McClain, the Texans have signed three draft picks to contracts on Thursday including second-round CB Lonnie Johnson, second-round OT Max Scharping and seventh-round FB Cullen Gillaspia.
This leaves just four draft picks still unsigned for the Texans:
|1.||23.||HOU||Tytus Howard||OT||Alabama St.|
|7.||220.||HOU||Cullen Gillaspia||RB||Texas A&M||Signed|
Johnson, 6-3 and 206 pounds, was selected with the No. 54 overall pick by the Texans in round two. He’s projected to sign a four-year, $5,204,652 that includes a $1,805,201 signing bonus with Houston.
During his two years at Kentucky, Johnson recorded 64 total tackles, one sack, one interception and nine pass defenses in 22 games.
