Texans Sign WR Josh Lenz To Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have signed WR Josh Lenz to their practice squad on Monday.

Houston brought in Lenz along with receivers DaVaris Daniels and Corey Washington for workouts today, but it appears as though Lenz was the most impressive of the bunch.

It’s worth mentioning that the Texans will need to release someone from their practice squad to make room for Lenz.

Lenz, 24, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Bears before he was waived and later caught on with the Seahawks.

The Colts wound up bringing him in towards the end of the 2013 season and later signed him to a future/reserve contract in January. Lenz later caught on with the Browns towards the end of May, but was unfortunately among the team’s roster cuts a few weeks ago.

He recently tried out for the Giants, but did not receive an offer from the team.

Lenz has yet to appear in an NFL game.
