Murphy, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He signed a four-year, $2.4 million contract with the Packers, but was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury last September.

The Packers later waived Murphy in December. From there, Murphy signed on to the Rams’ practice squad and returned to Los Angeles on a futures contract. However, he was waived a few months later.

In 2017, Murphy appeared in three games for the Packers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 54 offensive tackle out of 72 qualifying players.
