The Houston Texans are bringing in three free agents for tryouts this week, according to Albert Breer.
The full list of players trying out includes:
- WR Robert Davis
- TE Jevon Cottoy
- TE Charlie Taumoepeau
Davis, 25, was a sixth-round pick by the Redskins out of Georgia State in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $2.53 million rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $645,000 this season when the Redskins waived him.
Davis was signed to the Eagles’ practice squad and eventually added to the active roster. Philadelphia later waived him with an injury settlement prior to the 2020 season. He later caught on with the Raiders practice squad back in September but was ultimately released by the team earlier this month.
In 2019, Davis appeared in three games for the Redskins and three for the Eagles and recorded two catches for 17 yards.
