Titans Expect Vic Beasley To Report To Training Camp In “Near Future”

On Thursday, Titans GM Jon Robinson issued a statement regarding the absence of OLB Vic Beasley, saying that they expect him to report to camp in the “near future.”Vic Beasley

“On Tuesday July 28th, we placed Vic Beasley on the Reserve Did Not Report list. I have been in contact with Vic, he is not here, he understands his absence is unexcused, and he told me he will be reporting to camp in the near future. Our current focus is on the players that are here now, getting everyone acclimated to the protocols, our building, and our football program. We will have the same acclimation process with Vic when he reports,” Robinson said.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported yesterday that Beasley did not show up for COVID-19 testing again on Wednesday and there had been no communication on why or where he is.

The Titans placed Beasley on the reserve/Did Not Report list on Tuesday.

Beasley, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $14.5 million contract but the Falcons picked up his fifth-year option worth $14,200,000 for the 2019 season.

The Titans signed Beasley to a one-year contract worth up to $12 million this offseason.

In 2019, Beasley appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 42 total tackles, 8 sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses.

We’ll have more regarding Beasley as the news is available.
