Titans Place WR Rishard Matthews On PUP List

The Tennessee Titans have placed WR Rishard Matthews on the active/PUP list with an undisclosed injury on Monday, according to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com.

“Basically, he’s just not able to practice right now,” Titans HC Mike Vrabel said of Matthews.

Matthews, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2012. He spent four years in Miami before signing a three-year, $15 million contract with the Titans in 2016.

Matthews stands to make a base salary of $5 million for the 2018 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2017, Matthews appeared in 14 games for the Titans and caught 53 passes for 795 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. receiver out of qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Matthews as the news is available.
