Titans Re-Sign WR Nick Williams, Cut Two

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they’ve re-signed WR Nick Williams to a contract and waived WR Cameron Batson and TE Anthony Firkser.

Williams, 27, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Connecticut back in May 2013. After two years in Washington, Williams caught on with the Falcons as a free agent in 2015 and managed to make the 53-man roster last year.

Williams has been on and off of the Falcons’ practice squad. Unfortunately, the Falcons declined to tender him a restricted offer back in March, which allowed him to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

The Titans later signed Williams to a contract this past May only to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

In 2017, Williams appeared in one game for the Falcons and caught three passes for 30 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
