Trade Details For Browns’ Move Up For Miami TE David Njoku

The Cleveland Browns traded up for the No. 29 overall pick from the Packers to select Miami TE David Njoku.

Browns receive:

  • 2017 first-round pick (No. 29): David Njoku

Packers receive:

  • 2017 second-round pick (No. 33)
  • 2017 fourth-round pick (No. 108)

The Browns were aggressive in moving up to get two top-tier athletes in S Jabrill Peppers and Njoku to add to their roster this summer.

Some felt that Njoku would end up being selected higher than No. 29 overall and before Ole Miss TE Evan Engman, but I’m sure Cleveland is very content to get him where they did.

Over the course of his two-year college career at Miami, Njoku recorded 64 receptions for 1,060 yards receiving and nine touchdowns.
