The Ravens released Trevor Pryce yesterday to make room for the newly signed Ken Hamlin but had already indicated that they planned on re-signing him. Now it appears that the Ravens will not even get the chance to re-sign him because he has just signed with the New York Jets.
Pryce played under Rex Ryan during their time together with the Baltimore Ravens. When Pryce found out that ย Rex Ryan was going to be a head coach he said, “If he becomes an HC, I’m going to find out and I’m going with him.” So this move isn’t all that surprising.
Pryce will receive his termination pay from the Ravens and can still suit up for this Sunday’s game for the Jets. The Ravens will end up paying him $2 million and he will be getting the negotiated sum from the Jets as well. Not a bad deal at all.
