In the last month it has been reported by a number of NFL reporters that CB Nnamdi Asomugha will end up singing with one of the three NFC East favorites: the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Redskins.
In today’s Monday Morning Quarterback column, SI.com’s Peter King adds the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Houston Texans and the Seattle Seahawks to the list of favorites to land Nnamdi. All of these teams have been linked to the cornerback at some point but King specifically lists the Ravens as the No. 3 favorite and mentions that the Jets will consider bringing him in if their lose Antonio Cromartie.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain a sleeper team to watch. Tampa could be without CB Aquib Talib depending on what happens regarding his pending court case and Ronde Barber‘s age is something of concern heading into the upcoming season. The Buc’s have plenty of young talent on their rosters and could use a solid veteran presence in their locker much like what Charles Woodson brought to the Green Bay Packers last season.
