The agent forย free agent C Stefanย Wisniewskiย tellsย Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatchย that it’sย โvery possibleโ his client meet with the Rams this weekend.
Thomas mentions that the Rams should be able to sign two free agents out of a group consisting of Wisniewski, Gย Justin Blalock, and RTย Joe Barksdale.
As things stand right now, the Rams have around $11 million in available cap space to work with and have an obvious need at center now that they’ve parted ways with C Scott Wells.
Wisniewski has visited with the Seahawks and Buccaneers. The Bears have also come up as a potential option forย Wisniewski.
Wisniewski, 25, has played outย his four-year, $4,135,402 rookie contract andย is considered by many to be the best center stillย available in this year’s market.
Oakland used aย second-round pick onย Wisniewski back in 2011 and he has gone on top appear in 61ย out of 64 total games. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 1041ย snaps this season and rates his as the No. 22ย center out of 41 qualifying players.
We have Wisniewski listed as the No. 52ย player in ourย Top 100 Free Agents list.
