“Very Possible” Rams Could Host C Stefan Wisniewski For A Visit This Week

The agent for free agent C Stefan Wisniewski tells Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that it’s “very possible” his client meet with the Rams this weekend.

Thomas mentions that the Rams should be able to sign two free agents out of a group consisting of Wisniewski, G Justin Blalock, and RT Joe Barksdale.

As things stand right now, the Rams have around $11 million in available cap space to work with and have an obvious need at center now that they’ve parted ways with C Scott Wells.

Wisniewski has visited with the Seahawks and Buccaneers. The Bears have also come up as a potential option for Wisniewski.

Wisniewski, 25, has played out his four-year, $4,135,402 rookie contract and is considered by many to be the best center still available in this year’s market.

Oakland used a second-round pick on Wisniewski back in 2011 and he has gone on top appear in 61 out of 64 total games. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 1041 snaps this season and rates his as the No. 22 center out of 41 qualifying players.

We have Wisniewski listed as the No. 52 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
