Veteran CB Chris Houston Retiring From NFL

The Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday that veteran CB Chris Houston is retiring from the NFL.

Houston, 30, is a former second round pick of the Falcons back in 2007. He spent over three years in Atlanta before he was traded to the Lions in 2010.

The Panthers wound up signing to a one-year, $870,000 contract in June, but it looks like he’s ready to walk away from the NFL.

During his seven-year NFL career, Houston recorded 324 tackles, 13 interceptions, four forced fumbles, two recoveries and two defensive touchdowns.
