Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier mentioned that the team will look to get Percy Harvin the ball more in the absence of RB Adrian Peterson who is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
“One of the things coming out of the bye, we wanted to come up with more ways to get Percy the football,” Frazier said. “The fact that Adrian wasn’t in the ball game created more opportunities for Percy.”
Minnesota has been using Harvin as a running back even with Peterson healthy so you can expect to see him being used out of the backfield as well as a receiver. At this point, he’s really the only offensive threat that the Vikings have. Hopefully he can stay healthy with the increased role in the teams offense which has been a concern throughout his time in the NFL.
