Vikings Not Sold On OT Matt Kalil

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned that the Minnesota Vikings are not sold on taking USC LT Matt Kalil “by any stretch.”

In talking to people around the league, I don’t think Kalil is a lock to Minnesota at No. 3 by any stretch,” said Schefter.

Schefter added that there teams are “sniffing around” in regards to possibly trading up to the #3 spot, but mentions that interest should pick up in “a week to ten days” from now when team’s have finalized their draft boards.

The Vikings have made it known that they’re willing to trade back and secure some extra draft picks, which was a pretty clear indication that they’re not sold on drafting Kalil, despite their obvious needs at the position. Depending on how things go with Ryan Tannehill, the Vikings could end up receiving a decent package for the pick, while only moving down a few spots.
